Roller coaster Tycoon – Open RCT2

Featured

Roller Coaster Tycoon is one of my favourite simulation Game when I was a kid. Recently, I came across an YT video. I was surprised to know that people are actively working on porting the project to Gnu/Linux. Unfortunately, the openrct2 implementation still needs game files(.dat, .cab files) and Hence one has to buy the game from any of the online platform.

It took a bit of reading to setup the game and play.

Installing openRCT2 and setup -> Follow the documentation from their blog.

Participatory City

Today, I read an illustrative guide on Participatory city.

It is a 20 Minute good read. I could relate a few things to my current living place especially the problems we faced in bringing participation in citizen science project in our local community. This problems were done and dusted, reading this have given new ways to tackle those recurring puny issues.

If I am planning on something next time, I will go through this wonderful illustrative guide.

Published my first meme on commons

With help from my friend Kamal, I published my first meme today on Social media. 5 people actually responded back with questions which never happened with my blog posts. It’s true that ” A picture is worth a thousand words” I should improve my writing with current trend to make sure I reach the audience.

Federated Image sharing platform – PixelFed

Hi everyone,

I have been using Instagram for more than a year to share the captures I take during my travel. Recent times, I have been drawn into adventure photography. I want all my content to be available under Copy Left Licenses. Though there are several platforms available to share images, most of them are centralized, proprietary based and of course controlled by Powerful Organizations. Today, I joined Pixelfed, a Federated Image Sharing platform. Thanks to Prasanna for sharing the info.

You can know more about PixelFed here.

My PixelFed account: crakensio

I will be sharing my captures via this platform from now on. 😀
